Spoor Cattle BV has been based in Eethen (NL) for years and years. The Spoor family (now in the fifth generation) has traded in livestock for over eighty years, both nationally and internationally. The company distinguishes itself by its professional and personal manner of doing business, based on many years of experience.

Pedigree heifers
Spoor Cattle BV buys pedigree heifers on behalf of several exporters in the Netherlands.
Activities
Our activities are extremely diverse. We supply breeding livestock as well as commercial livestock (heifers, yearlings, calves) and beef cattle for breeding or fattening. We trade them directly with livestock farmers and breeders and indirectly via traders. Spoor Cattle BV is also active in the trade of prime-quality dairy goats.
In addition, the company has international trading activities, which are coordinated from the Netherlands. For example, suckling calves from Ireland are traded to Italy, or pedigree heifers from Germany to Portugal. Other combinations are also possible.
Most purchases are made by Ysbrand Spoor himself, in close consultation with the customer. All customers have their own specific requirements, and Spoor Cattle BV tailors the purchase and any programmes accordingly. Moreover, animals are selected in the presence of customers.
Spoor Cattle BV buys pedigree heifers on behalf of several exporters in the Netherlands. Purchases are made directly from the farmer, or through one of our agents with whom we have worked for many years.
Transport end stabling
Transport
Spoor Cattle BV entrusts the transport of livestock to a variety of accredited transport companies. This guarantees a high level of flexibility. There are vehicles for short and long-haul distances which, needless to say, comply with all European Directives on the transport of livestock (e.g. automatic drinking system and mechanical ventilation). This ensures both the welfare and quality of the animals. For small-scale and special transports, we make use of our own jeep with trailer.
All transport is carried out under the supervision of the veterinarian authorities. The transport companies Spoor Cattle BV works with possess the quality certification in livestock transport (KVC). Their staff are specially trained and instructed to load, transport and unload animals in the correct way.
Stabling
A calf has different stabling and feeding requirements than a pregnant heifer. A range of accredited export facilities and/or quarantine sheds are used for the stabling.
Optimal feed and resting time in an optimal environment must ensure that the journey goes as smoothly and comfortably as possible. Prior to long-distance travel, extra attention is given to feeding to ensure optimal transportation of the animals.
